Prompt Types Explained

In the NextGenAiAssistant module, prompt types represent different types of tasks the AI model performs, such as generating product descriptions, meta tags, or category information. Each prompt type defines the nature of the request and governs how the AI interacts with the Assistant to generate content.

Here’s how prompt types work:

  • Prompt Type Initiation: When you select a specific prompt type (e.g., product description, category description), it triggers the creation of a new thread. This thread is initialized with the relevant files and prompt data defined in the prompt form.
  • Prompt Type Templates: You can create prompt type templates to standardize the content requests sent to the AI. For example, you might define a template that says, “Based on the provided product specifications, generate a detailed description.” These templates allow you to pre-define the structure or tone of the prompts, ensuring consistency across multiple threads. You can also include specific files, such as product manuals or technical specifications, as part of these templates to provide the AI with relevant context.
  • Customizing Prompts: Each prompt type can be customized with specific text or instructions when initiating a thread, giving you flexibility over how content is generated for different products, categories, or other data.

Prompt types provide a structured way to define the tasks the AI will perform, allowing you to manage and standardize content generation while giving the AI clear instructions based on predefined templates.
